Job Overview

We are a growing interior design renovation company specializing in premium retail renovation and fit-out projects. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Business Development Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for a fresh graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in the fast-paced retail renovation industry. You will support our sales and project development teams by identifying new business opportunities, tracking retail trends, and coordinating tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Generation & Market Research: Assist in monitoring new international retail brand entries and shopping mall expansions to identify potential fit-out projects.
• Cold Outreach & Networking: Assist in connecting with retail brand managers, mall leasing agents, franchise owners, and interior architects to introduce our services and secure pitching opportunities.
• Tender & Proposal Coordination: Assist in compiling technical proposals, gathering estimation documents, and ensuring timely submission of renovation tenders.
• Site Visits & Client Meetings: Accompany senior managers to retail project sites to assist with site measurements, design briefs, and client consultations.
• CRM & Database Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of ongoing leads, project statuses, and client contact details in our database.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to read basic floor plans or design layouts is a strong advantage.
• Languages: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Fluency in Mandarin is highly advantageous for communicating with retail brand vendors and stakeholders.
• Attributes: High resilience against rejection, a proactive attitude, and strong organizational skills to handle multiple tender deadlines.
• Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and own transport for site visits and client meetings across Malaysia.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
