Job Description

Responsibilities

  • To assist lawyers in handling all litigation matters.
  • To prepare, draft, organise and file legal documents, cause papers and correspondence.
  • To perform e-filing of court documents and ensure timely filing in accordance with court procedures.
  • To maintain and update litigation files, ensuring all records are complete, accurate and properly organised.
  • To monitor court dates, filing deadlines and other important timelines.
  • To conduct basic legal research on precedents, case law and court rules as instructed by the supervising lawyer.
  • To liaise with clients, court personnel, government authorities and other parties regarding litigation matters.
  • To prepare hearing bundles, trial bundles and supporting documents for court proceedings.
  • To provide clear, accurate and up-to-date information on the status of litigation files.
  • To assist in monitoring file management and preparing weekly status reports.
  • To carry out administrative and legal support duties assigned by the Partner or supervising lawyer from time to time.
  • To maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and legal documents.
  • To work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • To demonstrate strong coordination, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be self-motivated, meticulous, responsible, trustworthy and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • To work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and instructions.
  • To perform any other duties assigned by the Firm from time to time.

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a law firm or litigation environment is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant legal knowledge are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and conveyancing software (if applicable).
  • Good command of written.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
