Job Summary:

Kaniza Shafie Architect is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Architect (LAM Part II qualified) to support our design and project delivery teams. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the preparation of design proposals, construction documentation, and coordination with consultants and contractors, contributing to a range of projects across different sectors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Architect in conceptual design development by producing schematic drawings, 3D visuals, and presentation materials, and refining designs based on feedback from clients and consultants.
• Prepare and coordinate full architectural working drawings, tender documentation, and authority submission packages (layout, site, and building plans) in strict compliance with UBBL, Fire Services Act, Malaysian Standards, LAM guidelines, and requirements of local authorities such as MBK.
• Manage proper documentation control for all drawings, reports, correspondence, and submission records, ensuring accurate versioning, systematic filing, and traceability throughout all project stages.
• Assist the Architect in project coordination by liaising with C&S, M&E, and QS consultants to resolve design clashes and ensure integration of all building systems during design and technical meetings.
• Support site work execution by attending site meetings and inspections, monitoring construction progress against approved drawings, verifying material samples and mock-ups, and preparing site reports—all under the Architect's supervision from time to time as required.
• Ensure all design outputs remain compliant with statutory regulations, including UBBL, local planning conditions, and LAM's Code of Professional Conduct.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc architectural research, documentation, or administrative tasks assigned by the Principal Architect to support the firm's operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture (Part II equivalent), recognized by LAM or Board of Architects Malaysia (BAM).
• Registered Graduate Architect with LAM (Part II).
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in architecture or construction projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong design sensibility, technical detailing, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
