1. To screen and review any incoming prescriptions/medication chart (outpatient & inpatient)

2. To confirm with doctors in the event of illegible handwriting, dosage/frequency/duration error or drug not available.

3. To key in medication charges accordingly into the system.

4. To prepare medication and label according to the prescription.

5. To counter check prepared medications and label according to the prescription.

6. To dispense the drug to the patient and provide necessary instructions as well as to take home medications

7. To provide professional advice to the prescribers, staff nurses, patients and others.

8. To record all Psychotropic and Controlled Drug into the record books.

9. To perform production of external & internal preparations as well as repacking forms of syrups, creams, tablets, and powders.

10. To perform medication indenting from bulk store or warehouse where applicable.

11. To prepare floor stock for each ward according to schedule.

12. To always maintain good inventory control (such as stock availability, par level and date of expiry)

13. To be responsible in sourcing out the emergency medications (out of stock, lifesaving) during their working shifts.

14. To monitor short expiry items monthly basis.

15. To monitor temperature log for vaccines and non-vaccines fridge.

16. To conduct monthly ward check and pharmacy stock check on slow moving items, short expiry item and rotate stock if required. Report any discrepancies found to Pharmacist or Person in charge.

17. To monitor owing medications/part supply

18. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or Person in charge.

19. To report all accidents/incidents and hazard to Pharmacist or Person in charge and complete the incident reporting form.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,999.00 per month
