Job Description:

Environmental Science (M) Sdn Bhd is an established environmental consultancy and laboratory service provider in Malaysia. We are seeking a motivated Lab Technician to support our growing operations in Kuching, Sarawak under our Sarawak branch.

Job Functions

• Conduct analysis as described in the standard methods and procedures.
• Provide feedback to superior on any non-conformities detected during testing or analysis.
• Perform daily environmental sample analysis and maintain proper laboratory records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Support the superior in ensuring continuous test operations, good laboratory performance, maintenance, and housekeeping of laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Assist in sample preparation, handling, storage, and disposal according to laboratory procedures.
• Ensure all testing activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and relevant standards.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma in Chemical, Science Discipline, or related field
• Intermediate working experience in chemical laboratory will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw accurate conclusions
• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including analytical instruments and data analysis software
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Knowledge in ISO/IEC 17025 will be an added advantage

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
