Job Description

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee HR activities across key portfolios, including talent management, career development, professional development, and employee engagement.
  • Lead and supervise a team to ensure smooth daily operations, with deliverables completed on time and within budget.
  • Support the planning and execution of HR-related projects and new initiatives introduced by the Unit.
  • Directed continuous improvement initiatives across internal processes and HR functions by leveraging technology, while providing strategic and operational leadership to enhance organizational performance.
  • Contribute to strategic tasks such as benchmarking, data consolidation and analysis, proposal preparation, policy reviews, and development of presentation materials.
  • Provide input into the strategic development of HR functions and initiatives aimed at positioning the University as an employer of choice.
  • Ensure operational and reporting compliance with regulations from government bodies, ministries, statutory agencies, and accreditation authorities.
  • Liaise and interact with other external parties such as training providers, and networking with other higher institutions
  • Oversee documentation and record-keeping processes to maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis for effective reporting, including dashboards and analytics to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory role leading a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and staff development, as well as talent management.
  • Familiarity with best practices and current trends in HR development, such as competency frameworks, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Sound knowledge of the current Sarawak Labour Ordinance and relevant regulations, including those from the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC), Ministry of Higher Education, and the Immigration Department of Sarawak.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability in project planning and execution, demonstrating resourcefulness and initiative in managing multiple tasks effectively

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
