Job Description

Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, business performance, and strategic growth of the spa. This role ensures exceptional customer experience, effective team management, achievement of revenue targets, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the spa to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are consistently maintained throughout the spa.
  • Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction to uphold the spa's reputation.

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, revenue, and profitability.
  • Identify business opportunities, partnerships, and promotional activities to drive growth.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to achieve business targets.
  • Oversee membership programs, treatment packages, and retail product sales.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Review financial reports and implement cost-control measures where necessary.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Human Resource Management

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate all spa employees, including therapists, receptionists, and supervisors.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
  • Establish performance goals and conduct regular employee evaluations.
  • Manage employee scheduling, attendance, discipline, and workplace conduct.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure all clients receive exceptional service and a positive spa experience.
  • Address customer concerns, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Develop customer retention strategies to increase repeat business and loyalty.

Marketing & Branding

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Maintain and strengthen the spa's brand image and market positioning.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate operational, financial, and employee records.
  • Prepare and present business performance reports to management.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement activities, and inventory control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in the spa, wellness, hospitality, beauty, or service industry.
  • Proven track record in business operations, sales growth, and team leadership.
  • Strong financial and business management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound business decisions.
