Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities :

i. Manage and oversee end-to-end logistics, transportation, and fleet operations to ensure the efficient delivery of materials from premix plants and quarries to project sites and customers.

ii. Develop and implement logistics strategies, transportation plans, and resource allocation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service performance.

iii. Manage and optimize fleet operations, including tipper trucks, heavy vehicles, transport contractors, and related transportation services.

iv. Monitor transportation costs, fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and other operational metrics to ensure cost-effective operations.

v. Coordinate with Production, Sales, Quarry, Plant, and Site Teams to ensure timely deliveries and effective utilization of logistics resources.

vi. Lead, supervise, and develop logistics personnel, transport coordinators, dispatch teams, and drivers to achieve departmental objectives and operational targets.

vii. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, road safety requirements, company policies, and operational procedures.

viii. Analyze logistics and operational data to identify trends, improve service performance, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.

ix. Manage logistics budgets, transportation-related expenditures and service contracts to support financial and operational objectives.

x. Investigate and resolve logistics-related issues, operational disruptions, delivery delays, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

xi. Establish, monitor, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity, service quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

xii. Support senior management in logistics expansion projects, capacity enhancement, and business growth initiatives.

xiii. Prepare and present logistics reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to support management planning and decision-making.

xiv. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements :

i. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, fleet management, or the construction materials industry.

ii. Proven experience in managing heavy vehicle fleets, including tipper trucks, jet trucks, and transport contractors.

iii. Strong knowledge of fleet operations, transportation planning, logistics coordination, and cost control.

iv. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to improve operational performance and decision-making.

v. Good understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

vi. Experience in managing logistics teams and coordinating large-scale transportation or distribution operations.

vii. Positive work attitude with a strong sense of responsibility, ability to prioritize tasks, and commitment to completing assigned duties efficiently.

viii. Willingness to travel to project sites, plants, and other operational locations as required.
