a) Conduct workplace hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control (HIRARC) for all plant activities including:

• Chemical handling
• Machinery operation
• Maintenance activities
• General plant operations

b) Lead incident investigations, near miss analysis and root cause analysis, and recommend preventive and corrective actions.

c) Monitor workplace compliance with safety requirements including:

• Machinery safety
• Chemical handling
• Confined space entry
• Working at height
• Permit to Work (PTW) systems

d) Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with:

• OSHA 1994
• Factory and Machinery Act 1967
• USECHH Regulations
• Industry best practices

e) Organize and chair Safety and Health Committee meetings and ensure proper follow-up of safety actions.

f) Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements including:

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage
• Safe work procedures
• Chemical safety
• Fire safety
• Emergency response preparedness

g) Serve as liaison with government authorities including:

• Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
• Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA)

h) Coordinate regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

i) Prepare documentation required during regulatory inspections, audits and investigations.

j) Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP) including:

• Fire incidents
• Chemical spills
• Workplace accidents

k) Coordinate emergency drills and evacuation exercises.

l) Act as part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during workplace incidents.

m) Promote a strong safety culture and awareness within the organization.

n) Conduct safety training and toolbox briefings for employees and contractors.

o) Maintain accurate records of:

• Safety inspections
• Incident investigations
• Training records
• Permit to Work documentation

p) Support the implementation and internal audits of management systems including:

• ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS)
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

q) Prepare management reports on safety performance, incident statistics and compliance status.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
