HR Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our growing dealership operations. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about Human Resources and looking to gain hands-on exposure in recruitment, employee administration, payroll support, employee relations, and HR operations.
You will work closely with management and employees across Sales, Service, and Administrative departments to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and recruitment coordination.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and new employee documentation.
- Maintain recruitment records and candidate databases.
HR Administration
- Prepare and maintain employee records, contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documents.
- Manage employee attendance, leave records, and personnel files.
- Ensure HR records are updated, organized, and audit-ready.
Payroll & Benefits Support
- Assist in payroll preparation and attendance verification.
- Support administration of statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and employee benefits.
- Process employee claims and maintain related documentation.
Employee Relations
- Assist in handling employee inquiries and HR-related matters.
- Support employee engagement activities, events, and internal communications.
- Promote a positive and professional workplace environment.
Training & Development
- Coordinate training programs, attendance records, and training documentation.
- Assist in tracking employee development and training requirements.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, manpower updates, and employee statistics.
- Support internal audits and HR documentation reviews.
General Administration
- Provide administrative support to the HR Department.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in HR or administrative roles is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and statutory requirements is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently.
