Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resource Assistant role based in the Hulu Perak District. The Human Resource Assistant supports daily HR operations, including maintaining employee records, preparing HR documents, and assisting with recruitment and onboarding activities. The role involves coordinating interviews, updating HR databases, processing leave and attendance records, and assisting with payroll-related data preparation. The Human Resource Assistant also helps organize training sessions, staff engagement activities, and ensures HR policies and procedures are communicated and implemented consistently. The position requires close collaboration with HR colleagues, operational teams, and management to support a safe, compliant, and positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain accurate employee records, handle documentation, and manage HR-related data in HRIS or similar systems.
  • Skills in supporting recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews, screening basic applications, and assisting with onboarding activities.
  • Competence in tracking attendance, leave, and timekeeping, and preparing information for payroll processing in coordination with the HR team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees at all levels and addressing basic HR-related queries professionally.
  • Organizational and coordination skills to assist with training programs, staff events, and HR initiatives in an on-site industrial environment.
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets, word processing, and other office software; familiarity with HR documentation and reporting is an advantage.
  • Understanding of basic employment regulations, company policies, and workplace safety and ethics; experience in a manufacturing or mining setting is a plus.
  • Certificate or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience in HR support roles is beneficial.
