We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Assistant to lead the accounting and administrative functions of our company. The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting knowledge, demonstrate leadership ability, and be proficient in SQL database management to support financial reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting and Administration Department.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage full sets of accounts including AP, AR, GL, cash flow, and payroll.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Utilize SQL for data extraction, report generation, and database analysis to support financial management and forecasting.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement internal controls and process improvements.
- Provide strategic recommendations and financial insights to management.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SQL Account,
- AutoCount, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is an added advantage.
