Job title: Bookkeeper with Odoo Experience

Type of employment: Full-time (Remote)

Shift Schedule: 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM EST


High-level Summary

Seeking an experienced remote Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting operations within the Odoo ERP system. You will maintain accurate records, handle AP/AR, perform reconciliations, and support month-end activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on Odoo Accounting experience and works well independently.

Objective of This Role

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and workflows within Odoo ERP.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and data integrity.
  • Handle AP, AR, bookkeeping, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.


Responsibilities

Odoo ERP Accounting Management

  • Manage daily accounting records, journals, and workflows in Odoo.
  • Support process improvements and Odoo system efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.

Accounts Payable Management

  • Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Generate customer invoices and apply payments/credits accurately.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and support collection/dispute resolutions.

Bookkeeping & Financial Reconciliation

  • Maintain general ledger records and perform bank/credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end close and ensure records are audit-ready.
  • Maintain strict financial confidentiality.

Financial Data Entry & Reporting

  • Enter transactions and maintain accurate customer/vendor system records.
  • Generate financial reports to support business decisions.

Administrative & Team Support

  • Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams.
  • Support special projects and operational process improvements.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Hands-on Odoo ERP Accounting experience (Required).
  • Proven experience with AP, AR, and account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Strong data entry, attention to detail, and remote-work discipline.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in a small-to-mid-sized business environment.
  • Experience with ERP implementations or multi-department support.
