About the role

Mega City Builder Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and experienced Machinery Supervisor to join our construction team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a contract role that will involve overseeing the operation and maintenance of our construction machinery and equipment. As a key member of our site management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of our machinery, contributing to the successful delivery of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervising and coordinating the daily operation of construction machinery and equipment

2. Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety

3. Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues with machinery and equipment

4. Maintaining detailed records of machinery usage, maintenance, and repairs

5. Providing training and support to machine operators to ensure proper and safe operation

6. Collaborating with the project management team to ensure the availability of necessary machinery and equipment

7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Machinery Supervisor or in a similar role in the construction industry

2. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction machinery and equipment, including their operation, maintenance, and repair

3. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

4. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

5. Strong organisational and time management skills

6. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field
