Job Summary
The End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, administration, and maintenance of end-user computing environments. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, and compliance of endpoint devices, applications, and collaboration tools while delivering excellent user support services. The EUC Engineer works closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams to maintain a stable and secure workplace technology environment.
Responsibilities
1. End-User Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.
- Respond to incidents and service requests within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Deliver remote and on-site support to end-users as required.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of user issues.
2. System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and standard corporate applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls through Active Directory and related systems.
- Perform system patching, software updates, and routine health checks.
- Support workstation lifecycle management and operating system upgrades.
3. Endpoint & Device Management
- Administer endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), or equivalent management platforms.
- Perform device provisioning, imaging, deployment, refresh, and decommissioning activities.
- Monitor endpoint compliance and enforce corporate IT policies.
- Manage asset inventory and device tracking records.
4. Microsoft 365 & Application Support
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.
- Troubleshoot email, collaboration, and productivity tool issues.
- Assist with software packaging, deployment, upgrades, and application testing.
- Support user onboarding and application access requests.
5. Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain endpoint security controls including antivirus, encryption, and device compliance policies.
- Support vulnerability remediation activities and security patch management.
- Assist with internal and external IT audits.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Preventive Maintenance & Monitoring
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance activities for end-user devices.
- Monitor endpoint performance, health, and capacity utilization.
- Identify and proactively resolve recurring issues to minimize business disruption.
- Participate in problem management and root cause analysis activities.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, configurations, and support procedures.
- Update knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
- Generate periodic reports on support performance, asset inventory, compliance status, and service metrics.
8. Coordination & Escalation
- Collaborate with Network, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to resolve technical issues.
- Escalate complex incidents to appropriate support groups when required.
- Participate in IT projects, system rollouts, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
9. User Training & Awareness
- Provide end-user guidance on IT systems, applications, and best practices.
- Conduct basic user training sessions for new technologies and tools.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and safe computing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in End User Computing, Desktop Support, Service Desk, or Workplace Technology environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise Windows environments and Microsoft 365 services.
- Basic networking concepts including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, and DNS.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
