Responsibilities

About the Role

Autism Gym Centre is a specialised early intervention and therapy centre supporting children with autism and developmental needs in Branch Kota Warisan Sepang . We are looking for a dedicated SPECIAL NEED TEACHER to deliver individualised therapeutic interventions that support children’s social, communication, behavioural, and functional development in a clinical, therapy-based setting.

This role focuses on hands-on intervention and developmental support, working closely with children, families, and a multidisciplinary therapy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct developmental and functional assessments to identify each child’s strengths and needs

  • Design and implement individualized intervention plans based on therapeutic goals rather than academic outcomes

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as ABA principles, play-based therapy, sensory integration, and communication strategies

  • Support children’s development in areas including behaviour regulation, communication, motor skills, and daily living skills

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, behaviour therapists, and parents to ensure a coordinated intervention approach

  • Track progress, prepare therapy reports, and adjust intervention plans as required

  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team discussions to maintain best practices


Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Childhood Education, Speech-Language Therapy, or a related field

  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental delays is preferred

  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), play therapy, and sensory integration

  • Comfortable delivering therapy-based intervention programmes rather than academic teaching

  • Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
