Job Description
- Hands-on in operating injection molding machine and other auxiliary equipment such asautomation handling system, mold temperature controller, chiller, mixer etc.
- Application of optimal injection parameters leading to part molded condition achievingdimensional stability and free from common molding defects.
- Able to carry out mold testing independently.
- Well-prepared and lead during mold trials byensuring molds are qualified per requirements.
- Establish guidelines in mold testing procedures and safety.
- Close follow-up on mold development stages, from design, fabrication, assembly, mold trialsand testing.
- These include coordination with vendors, planners and production to ensureactivities are seamless and smooth handover to production.
- Conduct DOE on different injection parameters, how these parameters affect molded partwith data to support the overall analysis study.
- Be the go-to-expert in resolving issues related to injection.
- Participate in DFM to providevaluable advice on part moldability.
- Experience in tool steel grade and resin selection to ensure achieving mold guarantee shotsand reduced maintenance.
- Diploma or a degree in engineering or manufacturing
- At least 3+ years of hands-on work experience in injection molding
- Understand mold construction and plastic parts drawings with critical GD&T callouts
- Proficient in molding simulation software such as Moldflow, Moldex3D etc.
- It offers full ownership of the injection molding process You are not limited to machine operation aloneyou are involved from mold testing to production handover, giving you end-to-end responsibility and stronger technical mastery.
- Strong exposure to advanced technical problem-solving The role requires resolving molding defects, optimizing parameters, and acting as the go-to expert, which significantly strengthens your troubleshooting and decision-making skills in real production environments.
- Involvement in engineering development and design stages Participation in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and close collaboration with design, fabrication, and vendors allows you to influence product quality even before production starts.
