Job Summary

We are seeking a competent A4 Chargeman to oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of electrical installations and systems at Wetland Putrajaya. The successful candidate will ensure electrical systems are operating efficiently, comply with regulatory requirements, and support maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical systems and installations in accordance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations.
• Ensure all electrical equipment and installations are safe, reliable, and functioning efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance works.
• Monitor electrical switchboards, transformers, generators, lighting systems, and related equipment.
• Maintain records, logbooks, and documentation required by regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers for electrical works.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, Permit to Work (PTW), and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor energy consumption and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
• Report defects, abnormal conditions, and maintenance requirements to management.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and electrical safety regulations.

Requirements

• Possess a valid A4 Chargeman Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, and building services.
• Familiar with electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of Malaysian electrical regulations and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and under minimum supervision.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in facilities management or maintenance contracts.
• Knowledge of energy management and electrical efficiency practices.
• Experience supervising contractors and maintenance personnel.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
