About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced QA & QC Assistant to join our dynamic team at in Lahad Datu, Sabah. As a full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and safety of our marine products, contributing to the success and growth of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing quality assurance and control procedures to maintain high standards across all production processes

• Conducting regular inspections, testing, and evaluations of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to identify and address any quality issues

• Analyzing data and generating reports to track quality performance and identify areas for improvement

• Collaborating with production and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related problems

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal policies

• Providing training and guidance to production staff on quality control best practices

• Continuously researching and proposing new quality assurance techniques and technologies to enhance our processes

• Handling HACCP, GMP, HALAL, MESTI, GACC certification and compliances.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in the manufacturing, agriculture, marine or logistics industry

• Thorough understanding of quality management systems, statistical process control, and quality improvement methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work with a keen eye for identifying and addressing quality issues

• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as HACCP, GMP, MESTI, HALAL, GACC

• Experience in Fishery & Marine Industry will be an added advantage

• Proficient in using quality control tools and software
