About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our thriving accounting firm, S.C. YONG CHIA & CO., based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As an Audit Senior, you will play a crucial role in our external audit team, providing high-quality assurance services to our diverse client base. This is a full-time position that will allow you to leverage your strong technical skills and industry expertise.

What you'll be doing

• Performing in-depth financial audits for a range of clients across different industries

• Identifying and evaluating potential risks and internal control weaknesses

• Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to clients in a clear and concise manner

• Providing recommendations for process improvements and accounting best practices

• Supervising and mentoring junior audit team members

• Liaising with clients to gather information and clarify queries

• Ensuring all audit work is completed within agreed timelines and budgets

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant with more than 5 years of experience in external auditing

• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards and regulatory requirements

• Proven ability to conduct complex audits, analyse financial data and identify key issues

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

• Proficient in using audit software and data analysis tools

• Teamwork-oriented with a collaborative approach
