About the role

Mr Bagus Malaysia is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our growing team in Kuching, Sarawak. This full-time position will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and administrative support to our small practice. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and contributing to the overall success of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger postings

• Preparing and filing tax returns, financial statements, and other regulatory documents

• Providing administrative support, such as managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office organisation

• Assisting with the implementation of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency

• Collaborating with the broader team to support various business initiatives

• Continuously seeking ways to enhance accounting procedures and internal controls

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting or administrative role, preferably within a small business or accounting practice

• Strong proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficient in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and Microsoft Office suite

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• A problem-solving mindset and a keen eye for detail

• Relevant accounting qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting or a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA), would be highly advantageous
