1. Operational Leadership & Strategy
- Contribute to the development and execution of IT strategic roadmap aligned with the School Development Plan
- Drive proactive, service-oriented IT operations.
- Support the development and enforcement of policies including Data Protection (GDPR/PDPA), cybersecurity frameworks, Acceptable Use Policies (AUP), and AI governance
- Lead risk management, disaster recovery, and conducting annual system risk assessments
- Translate technical concepts into clear insights for school leadership.
2. Financial & Resource Management
- Support the planning and management of IT budgets (CapEx and OpEx), ensuring cost efficiency and transparency
- Lead procurement processes and vendor negotiations for high-value contracts
- Manage vendor relationships, including SLAs and performance accountability
- Oversee IT asset lifecycle planning to ensure sustainability and minimise technical debt.
- Maintain a comprehensive and accurate asset register
3. Operational Excellence (Infrastructure & EdTech)
- Support the design and management of a high-availability network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) for high-density, modern learning environments
- Strengthen cybersecurity posture through implementation of best practices (e.g., Zero Trust, penetration testing, phishing simulations)
- Ensure seamless integration of digital platforms and data systems.
- Oversee AV systems, maintenance, upgrades, and event support.
4. Application & Software Management
- Ensure software licensing compliance and and cost optimisation.
- Track renewals and manage vendor relationships for software solutions
5. Educational Technology (EdTech) Support
- Collaborate with academic leaders to align IT infrastructure with curriculum needs (e.g., BYOD, 1:1 programmes)
- Ensure reliability and minimal downtime for classroom technology
- Provide responsive, solutions-focused support to teaching staff
6. Team Leadership & Service Culture
- Lead and develop the IT/EdTech team, promoting service excellence.
- Identify skills gaps and drive continuous professional development
- Oversee IT service desk operations, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Lead change management and technology adoption initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s in IT Management or MBA is an advantage)
- 5–8 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Professional certifications such as ITIL v4, PMP/PRINCE2, CISSP/CISM, or equivalent are preferred
- Experience in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, Windows Server environments, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365
- Ability to develop long-term IT roadmaps and manage budgets
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
