The Merchandising Executive is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of merchandising strategies to optimize sales and enhance the customer shopping experience. You will be working closely with the Merchandising Manager to ensure that product assortments are attractive, appropriately priced, and readily available for customers. This role involves coordinating with various teams such as marketing, sales, and product development to facilitate the successful implementation of merchandising plans.
Job Description
- Assist the Merchandising Manager in developing, implementing, and executing effective merchandising strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and sales targets.
- Support the analysis of market trends, sales performance, customer buying behavior, and competitor activities to make informed decisions on product selection, assortment planning, and product positioning.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of merchandise while monitoring stock levels, inventory turnover, replenishment needs, and product availability.
- Participate in the planning, execution, and maintenance of product displays, visual merchandising activities, and promotional setups to enhance product visibility and maximize sales opportunities.
- Plan, develop, and optimize outlet layouts to ensure efficient space utilization, improve customer shopping flow, enhance product visibility, and create an attractive shopping environment that supports sales performance.
- Review and update outlet floor plans and merchandise placement strategies regularly to align with seasonal promotions, new product launches, customer traffic patterns, and operational requirements.
- Conduct regular outlet visits to assess the effectiveness of merchandising strategies, outlet layouts, and display standards while gathering feedback from customers and store personnel for continuous improvement.
- Assist in negotiating competitive pricing, terms, and promotional support with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, in-store activities, and initiatives that support overall merchandising and business goals.
- Ensure all merchandising activities, product placements, and outlet layouts comply with company standards, brand guidelines, and operational requirements.
- Prepare merchandising reports and provide recommendations for improvements based on sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, retail management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the retail or consumer goods industry may be preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software for data analysis and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles, planogram management, retail operations, and customer behavior is advantageous.

Pay: RM1,850.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
