About the role

Mywisehome Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive to join our dynamic accounting team in Kamunting, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our bookkeeping and small practice accounting operations. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing essential administrative support to maintain the smooth operation of our accounting services. This role is fundamental to our commitment to delivering exceptional financial services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

  1. Managing and maintaining accurate records for client accounts and transactions

  2. Processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents in a timely and accurate manner

  3. Reconciling bank statements and client accounts to ensure complete accuracy

  4. Preparing financial reports and statements for small business clients

  5. Liaising with clients to collect necessary documentation and clarify financial information

  6. Recording journal entries and updating general ledgers

  7. Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

  8. Supporting the preparation of tax documentation and compliance requirements

  9. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional accounting standards

  10. Providing administrative support to the accounting team as required

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant accounting qualification or qualification in progress (such as AAT, ACCA, or equivalent)

  2. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

  4. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

  5. Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

  6. Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices

  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  8. Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous

  9. Experience in a bookkeeping or accounting practice environment is preferred
