Location: Lana Palm Oil Mill

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Competent Person certification for Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations and/or Scheduled Waste Management will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience in a palm oil mill, preferably in a Mill Engineer role.

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good understanding of palm oil mill operations, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Mill Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the palm oil mill to ensure smooth and efficient production activities.

• Monitor mill performance and implement measures to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

• Plan, coordinate, and ensure timely execution of preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance for all mill machinery and equipment.

• Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and company standards prior to dispatch.

• Support the Mill Manager in budget preparation, cost monitoring, and operational cost analysis

• Coordinate and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, employee welfare programmes, and safety awareness activities.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including those of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Department of Environment (DOE), Labour Department, and other relevant authorities.

• Monitor and maintain compliance with sustainability standards and certification requirements, including the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification.

• Prepare operational, maintenance, and compliance reports as required by management.
