Role Description This is a full-time Insurance Agent role based in Kuantan with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office activities with some work-from-home flexibility. The Insurance Agent will identify client needs, present suitable takaful and insurance solutions, and provide ongoing policy servicing and support. Daily tasks include meeting prospective and existing clients, explaining product features and benefits, preparing quotations, and assisting with applications and documentation. The role also involves following up on leads, maintaining accurate client records, coordinating with internal teams on underwriting and claims, and participating in trainings or briefings to stay current on products and regulatory requirements. The Insurance Agent will be expected to build long-term relationships, uphold ethical selling practices, and contribute to sales targets in line with company goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong insurance-related skills, including knowledge of Insurance, Insurance Sales, and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to match products to client needs.
  • Solid understanding of Finance, including basic financial planning concepts and the ability to explain financial implications in clear, accessible language.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, responsiveness, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and via phone or online channels.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment (office and home-based work) in Kuantan.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Previous experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an advantage, but motivated individuals with relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum secondary or diploma-level education; higher education in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
