The Production Assistant is responsible for assisting in daily production activities within the injection moulding department. This includes preparing materials, supporting machine operators, monitoring production processes, and ensuring smooth operation of the production line. The role helps to maintain product quality, cleanliness, and production efficiency in accordance with company standards.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Production Support
- Assist machine operators during mould change, setup, and start-up activities.
- Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and packaging are prepared for production.
- Support in loading raw materials into hoppers and ensuring correct material usage.
- Help in transferring finished goods to designated storage areas.
B. Quality & Process Monitoring
- Check and ensure products are produced according to quality specifications.
- Separate, label, and record any rejected or defective products.
- Report any production abnormalities, equipment issues, or quality problems to the supervisor immediately.
C. Material Handling
- Handle and prepare raw materials, color masterbatch, and regrind materials according to production orders.
- Assist in cleaning material hoppers, dryers, and working areas to avoid contamination.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
D. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of production quantity, rejects, and downtime.
- Ensure production labels and identification tags are correctly attached to finished products.
- Assist in preparing daily production reports as instructed by the supervisor.
E. Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the production area at all times (5S practice).
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) during work.
- Report any unsafe conditions or accidents immediately.
F. Teamwork
- Work closely with production operators, technicians, and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
- Cooperate and assist other departments such as QA, Maintenance, and Warehouse when needed.
3. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum SPM / Certificate in Manufacturing, Technical, or equivalent field.
- At least 1–2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment (injection moulding experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of plastic products, materials, and production processes.
- Able to work in shifts and perform overtime when required.
- Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.

5. WORKING CONDITIONS
- Factory-based position (production floor).
- Shift work required (day/night rotation).

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
