Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a Sales Representative based in Miri. The Sales Representative will identify and develop new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas sector, manage existing client accounts, and build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and meeting potential clients, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and promoting CHSB’s inspection, maintenance, and engineering service solutions. The role also involves preparing quotations and proposals, negotiating terms, following up on leads, and meeting assigned sales targets. The Sales Representative will collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to understand client requirements, ensure accurate service offerings, and provide timely after-sales support and reporting.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the Oil & Gas or industrial services sector.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients at different organizational levels.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts related to inspection, maintenance, and engineering services and translate them into clear value propositions.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple clients and opportunities.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Miri, with willingness to travel to client locations as required.
  • Proficiency in basic office productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations) and familiarity with sales reporting or CRM tools is an advantage.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian Oil & Gas market and experience working with Petronas or related operators is a plus.
