Road Construction Along Jalan Temong / Tepoi / Sadir, Tebedu, Bahagian Serian

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Resident Engineer, located in Serian Sarawak, Malaysia. The Resident Engineer will oversee and manage construction projects, ensuring they adhere to design specifications, technical standards, and timelines. Responsibilities include supervising site activities, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues, and preparing project reports. The candidate is expected to ensure projects meet safety and quality standards while maintaining efficient communication with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Strong understanding of Civil and Structural Engineering principles
• Experience in supervising road construction projects as a resident engineer or similar role
• Strong project management skills, including coordination of construction activities, and contractors
• Ability to conduct site inspections, identify technical issues, and implement practical engineering solutions
• Good knowledge of safety regulations, quality assurance standards, and construction compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); knowledge of local languages is an advantage
