Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery used in the production of furniture components. The role ensures that materials are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely according to production schedules and quality standards. The Machine Operator is also responsible for conducting quality checks, performing basic machine maintenance, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To read and interpret drawings with minimal supervision.
- To operate woodworking machinery such as saw, planers, sanders, edge bander etc.
- To be responsible for the basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning machinery, lubricating moving parts, filling up the checklist, etc.
- To assess the quality of wood such as Plywood, MDF, chipboard, etc.
- Ensure the health and safety practices are strictly followed.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
- To conduct ad hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent.
- Experience operating woodworking or furniture manufacturing machinery is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of woodworking processes, machine operation, and measuring tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings, production orders, and work instructions.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
