Job description

• Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance (O&M) of the 11kV electrical system (LV side) and all data centre activities during assigned shifts.
• Ensure the continuous and reliable operation of all electrical and data centre facilities, systems, and equipment.
• Monitor, update, and maintain electrical and data centre infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and compliance with operational standards.
• Perform scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Supervise and coordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved standards.
• Execute in-house electrical works, including maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair activities as assigned by Management.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Assist the B0 Chargeman and Engineers in the execution of major electrical projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide operational coverage and support for shift Chargemen during emergencies, absences, or critical situations.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Officer or Management from time to time.

Requirement:

• Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Data Centre Operations and Facilities Management, with hands-on exposure to critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Strong experience in Low Voltage (LV) power systems, including operation, monitoring, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, fault rectification, and incident response.
• Sound knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, HVAC systems, and critical facility operations.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively to operational issues and emergencies.
• Able to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Willing to work on a shift basis and provide emergency support when required.

Mandatory Requirement

• Possess a valid A4 Chargeman Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission Malaysia).

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
