Our Role

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our hardworking team at our Kampar Limestone Processing Plant located in Perak. Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will be working with fixed plants such as kilns and hydrators. The responsibilities include:

This position is part of a rotating shift roster with an opportunity to earn overtime pay. The role will be responsible for efficient operation of the vertical kiln and associated plant & equipment to meet quality, cost and volume targets taking into account safety and environmental standards, recording accurate process information for operational and maintenance use.

Key focus areas the role will include:

• Working in control room and monitoring process and equipment.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as maintenance, logistics, laboratory and engineering.
• Mobile equipment operation when needed (forklifts)
• General dispatching activities such as helping truck drivers accurately load bulk product.
• General housekeeping duties & routine plant checks.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (advantageous, but not essential as full in-house training will be given)
• Ability to work successfully both as an individual and as part of a team.
• Intermediate computer skills combined with verbal and written communication skills.
