Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and verify quantity take-offs, cost estimates, budgetary proposals, quotations, and tender submissions for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works.
  • Monitor, control, and review project budgets to ensure effective cost management and alignment with project objectives.
  • Prepare and review monthly Budget Summary Reports, analyze cost variances, and provide recommendations to improve project profitability.
  • Evaluate, verify, and certify subcontractors’ progress claims in accordance with contract requirements and actual site progress.
  • Prepare, review, and submit progress claims to clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment collection.
  • Administer and manage Variation Orders (VOs), including cost evaluation, negotiation, documentation, and submission to clients for approval.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize project final accounts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Review and assess subcontractor and supplier claims, variation orders, and final accounts to ensure contractual compliance and commercial viability.
  • Liaise closely with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and design teams on contractual, commercial, and costing matters throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide contractual and commercial support to project teams, including cost forecasting, procurement evaluations, risk assessments, and contract administration.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of contractual records, correspondence, claims documentation, and project commercial reports.
  • Monitor project costs, identify potential commercial risks, and recommend mitigation measures to protect project profitability and contractual entitlements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.


Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in contracts administration or quantity surveying with a main contractor.
  • Prior experience in Data Centre, Hospital, Healthcare, or other mission-critical facility projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E works, contracts, VO, claims, and final accounts.
  • Familiar with PAM, FIDIC, JKR, or similar contract forms.
  • Good communication skills in English and computer literate.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel or relocate.
