Location: Pekan, Pahang
Full-Time | On-Site
HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
We are seeking an experienced legal professional to serve as the Company's primary legal counsel, providing strategic legal guidance directly to the CEO and Management while overseeing all legal, contractual, litigation, and industrial relations matters.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Act as the principal legal advisor to the Company, providing legal counsel on commercial, corporate, operational, and industrial relations matters.
* Lead and manage all litigation and dispute resolution matters, including civil, labour, and industrial court cases.
* Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on contracts, agreements, policies, and other legal documentation to safeguard the Company's interests.
* Assess legal risks, provide practical solutions, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance requirements.
* Manage external legal counsel, monitor case progress, and oversee legal costs and litigation strategies.
* Lead contract negotiations and support business decisions through sound legal and commercial advice.
* Liaise with DRB-HICOM Group Legal, regulatory authorities, external stakeholders, and business partners on legal matters.
*Qualifications & Requirements:*
* LLB (Hons) from a recognized university.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in legal practice or as an in-house counsel.
* Strong experience in litigation management, contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory.
* Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
* Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
* Experience in the manufacturing industry and/or Certified Integrity Officer certification will be an added advantage.
* Willing to travel for meetings and court matters when required.
