About us:

We are a small team with big clients in interior design construction and fit-out. We are looking for a Fit-Out Estimator to help price high-end projects for our clients.

We've worked with clients on some iconic builds in the UK, USA, Europe and Middle East and our work is primarily with luxury finishes and heritage crafts.

We will provide the required training and software licenses but are looking primarily for someone with some technical experience and problem-solving skills. Previous estimation experience is not essential.

You will need to be comfortable reading 2D architectural drawings to be successful in this job.

Ideally, you will have some experience working with Architectural technical drawings but we are open to speaking with candidates from technical industries outside of Construction such as Product Design or Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis and organisation of large drawing packs
• Annotating technical drawings using Bluebeam (training will be provided)
• Generating bills of quantities in Excel
• Identification of key information within vast amounts of construction project data and clarification of unknowns
• Presenting technical information in a concise and easy-to-understand format

Qualifications:

• Work Experience or education in a technical or Engineering field: Construction, Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Product Design.
• Familiarity with technical drawings and specifications is an advantage
• Comfortable using Excel equations e.g. SUMIF, XLOOKUP, FILTER etc. We suggest you practice these before interviewing with us
• Good written and excellent spoken English for communications with internal team, clients and suppliers

Availability / Working Hours:

• Initial trial period, hours may vary. After trial: Full time (160h per month).
• We are on UK time, and we work with clients in the US so you will need some flexibility in working time depending on the project you are working on. Standard working hours are 9am to 5pm UK time.
• Our clients require a high level of flexibility so this role will not suit someone who wants to do this job in addition to other commitments.
