Role Description This is a contract, on-site Environmental Officer role based in Bandar Enstek. The Environmental Officer will monitor and support compliance with environmental regulations and company policies across facilities and operations. Daily responsibilities include conducting inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring; preparing reports and documentation for regulatory bodies; and assisting with environmental impact assessments and risk evaluations. The role involves coordinating with operational teams to implement environmental controls, manage waste and emissions, and respond to environmental incidents or non-conformities. The Environmental Officer will also help develop awareness programs, maintain records, and support continuous improvement initiatives in environmental performance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Compliance and Environmental Policy, with experience applying these in an industrial or chemical manufacturing setting.
- Understanding of Environmental Law and related regulations, with the ability to interpret and translate requirements into practical procedures.
- Experience with Environmental Impact Assessment and the evaluation of Environmental Issues, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Bandar Enstek, conduct field inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Good analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, including proficiency with basic office and data management software.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels in environmental awareness and best practices.
- Prior experience in the chemicals industry, occupational health and safety, or ISO/environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) is an advantage.
