Role Description

  • Assist in managing full sets of accounts, financial statements, financial analysis, and management reports for the group of companies.
  • Support day-to-day finance operations, including payment processing, cash flow monitoring, treasury matters, and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in group consolidation accounts and ensure proper internal control across the group of companies.
  • Oversee and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger functions to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Handle company tax matters, including SST, e-invoicing, corporate tax computation, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, tax regulations, accounting standards, and applicable laws.
  • Keep updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and related compliance matters.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities together with department heads.
  • Supervise, guide, and support the accounting team to ensure smooth daily finance operations.
  • Ensure monthly costing and project costing are accurately captured and completed before accounts closing.
  • Coordinate closely with operations, procurement, and project teams to verify cost accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and highlight abnormal variances, missing costs, or potential cost overruns to management before month-end closing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company requirements.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments and additional duties as assigned by the Head of Finance or Management.
  • The right candidate will have the opportunity to be promoted to Finance Manager upon demonstrating strong performance and fully meeting the company’s requirements.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional or partial professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA); partially qualified ACCA candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in finance and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and management reporting.
  • Solid understanding of e-invoicing, SST, company taxation, treasury management, and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Malaysian Accounting Standards (MFRS/MPERS) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactiveness is required in the accounts and financial functions and able to spot mistakes.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with management, external parties and the team.
  • Proficient in accounting systems especially Auto Count Software and Microsoft Office applications
