REQUIREMENTS / JOB SPECIFICATION

Academic Background

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent

Working Experience/Certification/Competencies/Skills

• Possess at least 2-3 years of working experience in polymer manufacturing or Petrochemical Plant.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Drive plant improvement initiatives to ensure safe, stable and optimal operation.

• Support superior in implementing department objectives, target and activities.

• Perform duties in line with annual mission, targets and budgets.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Monitor plant performance including utilities and support cost-down initiatives to meet budget targets.

• Plan and coordinate production operation in line with POL requirements to ensure stable supply.

• Lead plant trouble analysis, present findings and coordinate cross-functional actions for effective resolution.

• Initiate and execute technical improvements (e.g. MOC, CAPEX, HIRADC, SOP updates) to enhance safety and reliability.

• Maintain process data and liaise with licensor to optimise plant performance.

• Coordinate with Maintenance, EI, SHE, PPC and other departments to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to engineers and shift personnel.

• Support plant shutdown, inspection and project activities.

• Ensure product quality and process consistency through monitoring and investigation of deviations.

• Ensure compliance with company systems and relevant ISO, environmental and safety requirements.
