Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchaser Intern to join our pharmacy team. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in purchasing and procurement within a healthcare and retail pharmacy environment. It is ideal for students who are interested in gaining practical knowledge of pharmacy operations and enhancing their organizational and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining accurate filing systems for documents, invoices, and inventory records.
Support daily administrative tasks including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling customer or supplier correspondence.
Update and manage warehouse records, including stock lists, supplier information, and staff schedules.
Support the creation, tracking and processing purchase orders and proposals
Help monitor inventory levels and assist in placing replenishment orders.
Help track invoices and support the finance team with vendor payments and terms
Maintain and update vendor databases and databases of preferred suppliers. Communicate with suppliers for quotes, product information and track order status
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of basic inventory systems is a plus.
Responsible, punctual, and eager to learn about pharmacy operations.
Able to commit for a minimum of 4 months internship duration.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
