About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team at our office in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time internship position that offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the accounting and bookkeeping field whilst working alongside experienced professionals. As an intern, you will develop a solid foundation in accounting practices, gain exposure to real-world client work, and contribute meaningfully to our daily operations. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing or recently completed studies in Accounting or a related field who are eager to launch their career in the accounting industry.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and ledgers

2. Processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation

3. Performing data entry tasks and reconciling accounts with accuracy and attention to detail

4. Supporting the preparation of financial statements and accounting reports

5. Assisting with bookkeeping tasks for various client accounts

6. Conducting research and compilation of financial information as required

7. Liaising with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and information

8. Supporting compliance and regulatory documentation requirements

9. Performing general administrative tasks to support the accounting team

10. Learning and applying accounting software and systems used within the firm

What we're looking for

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

2. Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency with numerical data

3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (preferred but not essential)

5. Excellent organisational and time management skills

6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

7. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

8. Professional attitude with a genuine interest in accounting and financial services

9. Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and skills

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
