About the role

YB Woodwork Industry (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic warehousing and distribution team in Simpang Renggam, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, storage, and organisation of goods within our warehouse environment. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of inventory management and customer service delivery.

What you'll be doing

1. Receiving, unloading and inspecting incoming goods and materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards

2. Organising and storing inventory items in designated warehouse locations using appropriate storage methods

3. Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications and warehouse procedures

4. Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions

5. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently

6. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment

7. Assisting with stock-taking and inventory audits as required

8. Collaborating with team members to meet daily warehouse targets and deadlines

9. Following all health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment is preferred

2. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly

3. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

5. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

6. Willingness to follow health and safety procedures and take responsibility for workplace safety

7. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping and documentation

8. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is advantageous

9. Reliability and consistent attendance
