Summary:
The Store Clerk is responsible for managing raw materials, additives, dyes, packaging materials, and general store items. The role ensures accurate stock control, proper documentation, stock card maintenance, inventory monitoring, material issuance to production, and coordination with suppliers, production departments, and transport personnel to maintain smooth operations.
Key Responsible:
1. Handles all inventory and stock control by conducting daily stock inspection, physical stock verification, ensuring stock balances tally with stock cards and inventory records, including monitoring all incoming and outgoing materials.
2. Prepare all stock reports, inventory summaries, transfer sheet, and also receipt of outgoing and incoming materials from all departments. Ensure that all stock cards are accurate, and tally them with both departments.
3. Monitor all raw materials receipts from suppliers, verifying quantity and condition of incoming materials. Update stock cards and inventory records promptly, arrange storage and allocation of raw materials, and coordinate with production department regarding material requirements.
4. Issuing materials according to approved requests, preparing materials for production use, record material consumption accurately and monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when stock is low.
5. Maintaining inventory records and filing systems, prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports. Ensuring all supporting documents are complete and properly filed.
6. Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, coordinate with production, warehouse, and transport departments. Assist in resolving stock discrepancies, support departmental operations during staff absences.
7. Manage packing materials, pallets solvents, mesh, nylon plates, and other general items. Monitor housekeeping and organization of storage areas. Ensure proper storage practices are followed.
8. Any ad-hoc tasks available and assigned by department head, general manager and management.
Qualification & Requirements:
1. Minimum SPM / High School Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or related field is an advantage.
2. Minimum 1–2 years experience in storekeeping, inventory control, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
3. Experience handling stock cards and inventory records is preferred.
4. Experience in manufacturing or production industry is an added advantage.
