## Job Vacancy: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Senior QS)

### About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Senior Quantity Surveyor** to lead cost management and contractual operations for our upcoming construction projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who can seamlessly handle projects independently while providing strong leadership and mentorship to a team of junior Quantity Surveyors.

### Key Responsibilities
* **Cost & Contract Management:** Oversee all cost and contractual matters for both Main Contracts and Sub-contracts.
* **Financial Planning:** Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, financial forecasts, and final cost calculations.
* **Tender & Valuations:** Manage project valuations, tender documentation, and general contract administration.
* **Team Leadership:** Supervise, mentor, and effectively delegate tasks to a dedicated team of junior Quantity Surveyors.
* **Negotiation & Compliance:** Drive cost negotiations throughout the project lifecycle and closely monitor costs to ensure strict adherence to contract laws and industry standards.
* **Reporting:** Prepare, verify, and present detailed cost analysis reports and risk assessments to senior management.
* **Claims Management:** Assist in evaluating and managing contractual claims and related administrative duties.
* **Professional Communication:** Draft, review, and manage all formal project correspondence.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying (**Mandatory**).

Experience: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven experience within the construction industry.

Leadership: Strong supervisory capabilities with a track record of successfully guiding QS teams.

Work Style: Highly reliable with the ability to manage complex projects independently and with minimal supervision.

Language:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (**Mandatory**).

Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel). Familiarity with AutoCAD and industry-standard QS software (e.g., Glodon) is highly desirable.
