1. Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics & Material Coordinator to support our factory's daily logistics operations. This role will primarily focus on managing aluminium and steel scrap materials, coordinating outer-subcontractor logistics, and providing administrative back-up for the logistics team. The successful candidate will work closely with and directly report to the Factory Manager.
2. Key Responsibilities
a*. Scrap Material Management*
- Inspect and verify quantities of aluminium scraps (remnants and chips) generated during/after aluminium formwork processing.
- Maintain accurate records and data logs of all scrap materials.
- Coordinate and arrange transportation schedules with designated fixed scrap vendors for periodic collection of steel accessory scraps.
b. Subcontractor & Outsource Coordination
- Arrange and manage logistics for materials sent outward to subcontractors for washing and modification purposes.
- Verify quantities and inspect returned materials from subcontractors, ensuring proper inbound processing and documentation.
c. Logistics Team & Admin Backup
- Serve as a primary backup for other logistics personnel during their absence.
- Support the Factory Manager with on-site administrative tasks and logistics operations.
3. Requirements
- Education & Experience: Open to fresh graduates or candidates with relevant experience.
- Key Attributes: Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in handling numbers and documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly with internal teams and external vendors.
4. Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)
- Language: Able to communicate in English (basic conversational level for internal coordination).
- Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environments is a plus.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically MS Excel for data entry).
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
