Job Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating daily mining operations, shipment activities, site audits, production planning, maintenance supervision, and operational compliance. The role ensures efficient production output, cargo quality assurance, safety compliance, cost control, and timely reporting while providing technical and operational support to site teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management

• Provide technical, operational, and management guidance to site engineers and operational teams.
• Resolve operational issues and provide recommendations within established timelines.
• Monitor daily mining activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Ensure all site operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

2. Site Audit & Inspection

• Conduct regular site inspections and operational audits across mining sites.
• Assess site performance, safety practices, and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare audit findings and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Ensure mining sites remain operational and in good working condition.

3. Shipment & Logistics Operations

• Supervise cargo loading, unloading, and shipment activities.
• Ensure cargo quality and volume meet customer and company requirements.
• Coordinate shipment schedules and resource allocation for each shipment.
• Monitor cargo handling processes to minimize defects and operational losses.
• Manage permits, approvals, and documentation required for port operations and equipment mobilization.

4. Production Planning

• Develop and monitor production plans based on operational targets.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and resources to achieve production objectives.
• Analyse production performance in terms of output, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Recommend process improvements to optimize mining workflow and productivity.

5. Maintenance Coordination

• Supervise maintenance activities for company facilities, equipment, and satellite offices.
• Ensure maintenance works are completed effectively and on schedule.
• Monitor asset condition and coordinate preventive maintenance programs.

6. Financial & Administrative Management

• Manage and monitor petty cash utilization for operational sites.
• Ensure accuracy of petty cash balances and proper expense documentation.
• Maintain operational records and supporting documents.

7. Reporting

• Prepare and submit monthly production and operational reports.
• Analyse production data and operational performance trends.
• Present findings and recommendations to management.
• Ensure reports are submitted accurately and within the stipulated timeline.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Mineral Resources, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mining operations, quarry operations, or related industries.
• Experience in production planning, logistics, site management, and operational reporting.
• Good understanding of mining operations, safety regulations, and cargo handling processes.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
• Willing to travel frequently to operational sites and ports.
• Possess a valid driving licence.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
