Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor (Coating / Paint Shop)
Location: Tuanku Jaafar Industrial Park, Sungai Gadut, 71450 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
Salary Range: RM3,000 – RM4,000
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Job Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor (Coating / Paint Shop) is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and control activities within the paint shop. This role ensures that coating processes and finished products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Control & Inspection
- Supervise daily quality control operations within the paint shop
- Monitor surface preparation, coating application, curing, and final inspection processes
- Approve first-off samples and final products prior to release
2. Testing & Compliance
- Conduct and verify quality tests, including:
- Dry Film Thickness (DFT)
- Wet Film Thickness (WFT)
- Adhesion testing
- Gloss level measurement
- Color matching and visual inspection
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and industry specifications
3. Defect Analysis & Improvement
- Investigate coating defects (e.g., peeling, blistering, orange peel, uneven coating)
- Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Recommend process improvements to enhance coating quality and reduce defects
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, quality reports, and test documentation
- Monitor and report quality performance, rejection rates, and rework trends
5. Customer & Supplier Coordination
- Handle customer complaints related to coating quality
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
6. Equipment & Calibration
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and usage of inspection instruments and tools
7. Team Leadership & Training
- Lead, guide, and train paint shop operators on quality standards and inspection procedures
- Promote a quality-driven culture and continuous improvement mindset
8. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, safety, and environmental standards
- Support internal and external audits
9. Cost & Waste Control
- Monitor paint material usage and minimize wastage related to quality issues
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Coating Technology, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in paint shop or coating quality control
- Strong knowledge of coating systems (powder coating / liquid paint)
- Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Good understanding of surface treatment processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good leadership and communication abilities
- Experience in aluminium façade or architectural coating industry
- Knowledge of international coating standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO)
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection instruments
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
