Job Title: Procurement Executive (China Sourcing)

Location: Tuanku Jaafar Industrial Park, Sungai Gadut, 71450 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Alternate Saturdays off)

Salary Range: RM2,500 – RM3,000

Position Summary

The Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing overseas procurement activities, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials while maintaining cost efficiency and supplier performance. This role requires close coordination with international suppliers, particularly from China, as well as internal departments to support smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Handle overseas purchasing activities, including sourcing, price negotiation, and supplier selection
  • Identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to improve cost and supply reliability
  • Monitor market trends and material pricing to support cost-saving initiatives

2. Supplier Coordination

  • Communicate and coordinate with international suppliers (mainly China-based)
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply chain
  • Conduct supplier evaluation and performance monitoring

3. Purchase Order & Delivery Management

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (PO) accurately and timely
  • Track order status and ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Follow up on shipment schedules and resolve delivery issues

4. Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow
  • Ensure purchased materials meet production requirements and project timelines

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, supplier data, and pricing
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports and supplier performance analysis
  • Update and manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL)

6. Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and ISO procedures
  • Support continuous improvement in procurement processes and cost efficiency

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Experience in overseas sourcing/import purchasing is preferred
  • Proficient in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to liaise with China-based suppliers
  • Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Effective communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Suitable for candidates with exposure to manufacturing or construction-related industries

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
