Salary Range: RM3,000 – RM4,000

- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Job Summary
The Tender & Costing Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing pre-contract activities including cost estimation, tender preparation, and pricing strategies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring competitive, accurate, and commercially viable tender submissions for façade and aluminium-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tender Preparation & Costing
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and tender submissions
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of pricing
2. Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships for cost efficiency
3. Cost Analysis & Value Engineering
- Conduct cost comparisons, benchmarking, and feasibility analysis
- Propose value engineering solutions to optimize cost without compromising quality
- Identify commercial risks and provide mitigation strategies
4. Tender Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure full compliance with technical specifications, contractual terms, and client requirements
- Prepare tender clarifications, qualifications, and supporting documentation
- Participate in post-tender discussions and negotiations
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain updated cost databases, historical tender records, and supplier price lists
- Track market trends in materials and construction costs
- Support management with cost reports and analysis
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, project, and production teams to ensure buildability and accurate costing
- Provide technical input during tender stage to improve project feasibility
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in QS / tendering / costing
- Experience in aluminium, façade, or construction industry is an advantage
- Strong analytical, numerical, and costing skills
- Familiar with local construction contracts, tender procedures, and documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity take-off tools
- Knowledge in façade systems (curtain wall, cladding, glazing systems)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
