We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative and paperwork management skills. Knowledge of Industrial Relations (IR) and the Employment Act is preferred. Candidates with an HR Degree are encouraged to apply, and fresh graduates are welcome.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure industrial and employee relations issues are resolved promptly to maintain a positive and harmonious working environment.
- Establish and maintain platforms for employees to raise operational and work-related concerns, and coordinate resolution with relevant parties.
- Lead and manage the HR Industrial & Employee Relations (IER) function and team to ensure effective execution of IR and ER activities.
- Review, develop, and recommend improvements to employee relations and industrial relations policies, procedures, and practices.
- Provide guidance, coaching, problem-solving support, and counseling to employees to foster positive employer-employee relationships.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on disciplinary procedures and related topics during employee induction programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of IR and ER programs and initiatives.
- Ensure all disciplinary matters are handled in accordance with company policies, standard procedures, and applicable labor laws, including the Employment Act 1955.
- Assess reported misconduct cases, determine appropriate charges, and plan subsequent disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate and direct further investigations when reported misconduct cases lack sufficient facts or supporting evidence.
- Prepare and issue disciplinary documents, including Show Cause Letters and disciplinary action letters, and evaluate employee responses.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Domestic Inquiries (DI), including preparing recommendations based on inquiry findings.
- Handle employee grievances, conduct discussions with relevant departments, and monitor resolution progress.
- Plan and conduct counseling sessions for employees requiring intervention and monitor post-counseling improvement.
- Represent the company in meetings and proceedings with external parties, including the Labour Department, Industrial Relations Department, and Industrial Court.
- Prepare and coordinate all relevant documentation, evidence, and witnesses for labor and industrial relations cases.
- Perform any other duties and ad hoc assignments as assigned by management
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
