The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, policy implementation, and compliance with labor laws and company regulations. The HR Manager plays a key role in supporting business objectives by developing and maintaining a high-performing, engaged, and productive workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
- Advise management on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Support business leaders in driving employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Develop talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and succession planning needs.
Employee Relations
- Foster positive employee relations and maintain a healthy work environment.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
Performance Management
- Manage the performance appraisal process and support managers in employee evaluations.
- Develop performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.
- Monitor employee performance trends and recommend improvement strategies.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
- Implement leadership development, succession planning, and skills enhancement initiatives.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and support continuous learning culture.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee payroll coordination, employee benefits administration, and compensation reviews.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Support annual salary review and bonus exercises.
Compliance & HR Governance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage HR audits and support legal compliance requirements.
HR Operations & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations and administration.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management dashboards.
- Monitor key HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, recruitment efficiency, and employee engagement.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Develop initiatives to promote employee engagement and organizational culture.
- Organize employee welfare, recognition, and team-building activities.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, PHR, SPHR) is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience managing multiple HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Experience in manufacturing, technology, shared services, or multinational environments is preferred.
